Description
This listing is for a vintage 1960's men's greenish-brown two-piece suit. The suit is made from a very fine, soft greenish-brown wool suiting . The jacket is has a typical late 50's and 60's cut with narrow lapels and pocket flaps, high gorge and three-button front. The front of the jacket has three brown marbled synthetic buttons with two per cuff. It is partially lined in a greenish synthetic fabric and the shoulders are well-padded. The trousers are mostly straight-leg in cut and taper towards the ankles and have cuffs. They close at the front via an internal button and tab, metal hook-and-eye closure and metal 'Gripper Zipper'. The waist, crotch and pockets are lined in off-white cotton in an attractive herringbone weave.
Both pieces are in very good condition, and aside from some light separation of the jacket's sleeve lining from the body inside (see photo), the two pieces do not appear to have any further rips, holes, tears, stains, missing or damaged buttons, zipper components, labels, etc.
The jacket bears the brand and a 1970's Union label. No size, fabric content, region of origin, etc. labels are present.
