Description

This is a wonderful vintage mohair mens tuxedo suit dating to 1961.
The suit is made in black with padded shoulders, satin shawl lapels, jetted side pockets, chest pocket, single button closure and three buttons at either cuff.
There is an 8” centre vent at the back.
It is half lined in black acetate.
The pants have a pleated front and the pant leg tapers to the cuff.
The sides of the pant legs have a double satin stripe.

Sizing: This was tailored to measure, and although it should fit a size 40/42,
perhaps a 42 short, but please rely on the following measurements for fit, taken from the exterior (please take the thickness of the fabric into consideration):

Shoulders: 18” across shoulder seam-to-seam
Sleeves: 24” from shoulder seam
Sleeve Inseam: 15 1/2” long
Chest: 46” around, taken under the arms
Waist: 44” around
Overall length: 30“
Pants:
Waist: 36” around
Leg Inseam: 26 1/2” long - there is 3” of fabric inside the hem
Overall length: 40“
Condition: This tuxedo is in excellent condition with no wear, tear, stains or odors. It looks like it saw very little use, and was very well kept over the years.
This is a very nice quality vintage tuxedo from 1961 - beautifully tailored!
